Farmers in Germany assess the current business situation in 2017 as significantly better compared to 2016. Expectations on business development brightened clearly for dairy farmers and are moderate for arable farmers. Willingness to invest remains stable despite the brightened assessment of the business situation. Only dairy farmers plan to invest clearly more compared to 2016. Arable farmers are interested in innovations in manure technology to bring nutrients tailored to the needs of the crops. Furthermore, they are looking for innovations in single corn seeding technology as well as in digital maps to use digitalisation in growing seeds.
