Cultivation technology
Abstract:
The manufacturers of tillage machinery posted moderate sales growth in 2017 following the general trend of the industry. The larger manufacturers continue to achieve high export shares of more than 50%. The trends of the developments are automated machine settings or automated workflows as well as more flexible, multipurpose and "smart" use of the equipment. New developments were presented at the Agritechnica machinery fair in the field of cultivator and plow technology. The process objectives are target-variable use of equipment in conservative soil cultivation, optimal weed management with crop residue and organic plant management as well as efficient, precise work on the foreshadow. The goals are achieved with a great variety of equipment configurations, the decision lies with the farmer.
