Recent technical developments for seeding technology have meanwhile become available as standard and were presented at Agritechnica 2017. The article explains results of DLG-examinations and gives an overview of recent improvements to important machine components as well as interesting new developments of complete machines. Automation solutions for precision sowing are presented, ranging from swarm technology to improved grain separation and deposition at high speeds. Results of scientific papers cover a wide range of topics and include, among others the quality of work in mixed seeds and dynamic processes in seed placement.
