Tractors Tractor Engines and Transmission

Abstract:

EU Emission stage V requires diesel particulate filters and SCR systems, but exhaust gas recirculations are not used consistently. More compact exhaust after treatment designs are expected. Transmission systems are presented for CNH's new 8-speed powershift transmission, John Deere's Command8 and for the transaxle of the new Fendt full track model 900Vario MT.
New additional electrical grids are in focus of developments to power, for example, aggregates, implements or infinitely variable four-wheel drive systems. A first purely battery-driven 50 kW standard tractor was announced by Fendt for 2018. Improved simulation methods and remote field measurements support dimensioning and preventative actions if necessary.
