Further development of agricultural machinery safety standards
Abstract:
The safety standards for agricultural machinery constitute an essential part of the safety regulations and contribute to the safety in agriculture and the free movement of goods in Europe. The pre-condition for this important role is that these standards include appropriate safety requirements which correspond to the actual state of art. To satisfy this pre-condition the safety standards for agricultural machinery were reviewed by a process involving all interested parties. As result, this process confirmed the available safety standards as appropriate instruments for implementing the machinery directive and delivered various proposals for actualization and completion. These proposals are now presented to the ISO committees.
