Abstract:
Water and energy are natural resources that are running short more and more due to increasing intensity of utilization. By developing water saving irrigation control systems and de-centralized energy provision systems agricultural engineering contributes essentially to resource protection in developing countries. Furthermore, additional income is generated for small-holders by improvement of postharvest technology and combined value adding.
