Tractors Tractor Engines and Transmission

Abstract:
SCR technology is more and more applied also for tractor diesel engines (emissions, fuel consumption). The double-clutch principle gained further importance by the new DirectDrive of John Deere. A new CVT of John Deere uses for the first time the double head hydrostatics of Sauer-Danfoss. The narrow power split CVT of Same Deutz-Fahr started in series. Diesel-electric tractor drives (prototypes) have light efficiency deficits. Structures with electric high-voltage grids on-board and for implements are expected on a broader basis. The further development and evaluation of power trains is supported by several interesting scientific publications and continuously improved simulation tools – also for co-simulations.
