Agricultural Tractor Development
Abstract:
The world wide tractor sales increased in 2011 to about 45 billion US $. Impulses of technol-ogy are mainly coming from Western Europe, for volumes (with increasing exports) mainly from India and China. Both, the current emission regulations EU 3B / US Tier4 interim and EU 4 / US Tier 4 final (2014) resulted in new models of all manufacturers (often with SCR processing). Rated engine power level for standard tractors is approaching 300 kW. Regard-ing premium level tractors, permanently improved systems for driver assistance and process automation jointly with new power train components enable new all-time high levels of productivity, comfort, safety, environment protection and information networking.
