Economic Development of the Agricultural Machinery Industry
Abstract:
2013 was a new record year in terms of revenue for the agricultural machinery industry - all over the world, as well as for Germany. The industry is riding on a wave of success due to their contribution to increase the return on investment in global agriculture. In the developing and emerging countries, it is essential to increase the level of mechanization with regard to the production phases of food and feed. On sites with already maximum mechanization, foremost in Western Europe and North America, the technological development in terms of automation and interconnected production systems is driving the demand in the market. The business climate in the industry is deemed to be positive due to the favorable order situation the companies started off the year 2014. The Asian markets will continue with considerable growth in 2014, while an economic temporary respite is expected for the American and the European continent. The production volume remains however relatively high in total.
