If the hopeful beginning of agricultural engineering education and research at the Leipzig University is dated in 1892, they would celebrate the 100th anniversary after an eventful, sometimes very successful development in 1992. Unfortunately the hundred years were not reached, because the agricultural engineering practically no longer existed at the Leipzig University.
