Machinery and Techniques for Cattle Husbandry
Abstract:
The development for automation and sensor-assisted animal monitoring is still unbroken in cattle management. The implementation into the practice was slowed down last year by the low milk prices. In general it can be observed that the gaps to completely automated barn systems are being closed more and more in all operating sizes. There are several trends in sensor technology. More and more techniques developed for automatic milking have been offered in conventional milking. The search for new sensors for the determination of animal parameters continues, and the intelligent linkage of various sensory data allows a clear in-crease in out-of-rangeness. An ever greater emphasis is placed on the user-friendliness of the systems.
