Tractors Agricultural Tractor Development

Abstract:
The German tractor production (without Claas) decreased only slightly to 3,43 Mrd. € (2015) and 3,32 Mrd. € (2016). Registrations dropped however 2016 again considerably due to the low agricultural world market price level to now 28.746 units. Regarding the present emission regulations, transitional arrangements offered the industry flexibility to fulfil them with some delay. 150 kW Tractors with high power density became popular. Below this class, block chassis designs dominate, increasing with integrated sections for front end loader and hitch attachment. Tractor families around 75 to 110 kW have been developed with an unusual large band width of variants worldwide for high production volumes. Introduction of the ISO-BUS (ISO 11783) for tractor-implement- management (TIM) continues but its performance approaches limits in data transfer capacity.
