Crop Harvesting Crop Harvesting

Abstract:
In the 2015/2016 season, the sales figures for crop harvesting fell notedly due to low produc-er prices in agriculture. This has the greatest impact on the sales of loader wagons. Large square balers instead are showing a small increase. In the case of forage harvesters, there is a constant trend towards greater efficiency. This is achieved by the use of assistance systems which support the driver and operate the machine at optimum operating points. The decoupling of assemblies from the powerbelt was intro-duced on the chopper attachments as well as on the crop accelerator. Also in balers, assis-tance systems continue to grow. These enable high press densities and evenly shaped bales with simultaneous driver relief. The number of knives, especially for straw, increased further. Loader and transport wagons improved in the chassis and the pivoting drawbar control.
