Grain Harvesting Grain preservation

Abstract:
Due to an increasing over-lap of the harvesting windows of different crops, the farmers have to provide sufficient machine power in order to harvest as large as possible amounts of grain at an optimum point in time. As caused by contrary weather conditions in the harvesting peri-od, the demand for preservation fluctuates between 30 % and 70 % year by year. Therefore, the requirements for intermediate storage and preservation are manifold. Thus, grain facili-ties must be able to process and to store temporarily large amounts of crop. The operating procedures are being further optimized year by year.
