Automation Engineering Assistance- and Automation-Solutions

Abstract:
The product development in agricultural engineering is increasingly influenced by the en-hancement of sensors, electronics and software. Automation and assistant-systems are - like in many other technology-sectors - the key of innovation. Requirements for agricultural ma-chinery is constantly increasing caused by economic, ecologic, ergonomic and legislative aspects. Thus growing complexity can be faced with automation and assistance-systems to minimize the driver's workload. Furthermore, the driver's role is changed from a classic worker to a manager who is less involved in direct control of processes. Besides the detec-tion of the environment and novel sensors, precision farming and expert systems are the main topics of agricultural engineering.
