Tractor Engines and Transmission
Abstract:
Above 56 kW, SCR technology is gaining basic importance for Diesel engines due to a step in regulations. Along with introducing EU step IV, engines have been further optimized offering amongst others a reduced AdBlue consumption. CVT's have broad acceptance - ZF has become here a worldwide important supplier. John Deere could launch the new automatic full power shift e23. Developments of modular engine and transmission systems for global use become again more important. Electric and hybrid drive systems remain in the research stage. Reduced losses of the drive line are still an important issue.
