Sowing
Seeding Technology
Abstract:
Recent developments in drilling technology will improve the longitudinal distribution during sowing of cereals and oilseed rape. Sensors for particle detection and flow monitoring for further automation of the seed and fertilizer placement are a further development focus. A new system for driver relief during calibration and operation of the machines is presented. For precision sowing, a completely newly developed system is presented with a controlled seed transport into the coulter. Other developments include reduced tillage for sowing of sugar beet and the detection of small seeds with optical sensors.
