Seeding Technology
Seeding Technology
Abstract:
Current developments in sowing technology help farmers to react to social and climatic challenges and to adapt their production systems accordingly. Fully automatic robots have found their way into the everyday production of modern agricultural businesses. They reduce costs and the need for labor for sowing and crop care. A new sowing combination establishes catch crops in a way that conserves water and protects against heavy rain. Resource-conserving fertilizer application technologies for precision sowing and for established row crops reduce costs and nutrient losses. For the first time, the homogeneity of corn in early youth development served as an evaluation criterion for a DLG test report and was the subject of a research project in the USA. The project "Experimentierfeld Agro - NordWest" examines, among other things, the use of digital tools for manufacturer-independent process chains in the field of sugar beet production.
