Digitization and Automation Logistics

Abstract:

The last two years under Corona restrictions have also slowed down the development of agricultural logistics due to the lack of trade fairs and congresses. Overall, a consolidation in the development can be observed. There were no new adjustments in the area of legislation. In the current situation, it was much more a question of transport being carried out at all. There are few changes in logistics technology. What is important for the sector is the future orientation of the drive systems. Here, battery-electric drives and hydrogen fuel cells are to be observed as new systems in commercial freight transport. Agricultural robots are now also spreading in practical farming. The first logistics robots are mainly found in horticulture and fruit growing. Digital systems are now more and more accurately depicting the influencing factors in agricultural logistics, especially through the networking of different models, the chains can be better represented.
