Innovations in crop protection technology
Abstract:
Selective nozzle switching for chemical crop protection and sensor-controlled hoeing technology, also in combination, enable an effective reduction in the use of chemical crop protection agents, as required by law and society. In addition to tractors and self-propelled vehicles, autonomous robots are increasingly being developed as a technical platform. These often combine precision sowing and later mechanical hoeing by using GPS or camera technology. In addition to the well-known manufacturers of mechanical and chemical plant protection equipment, there are a number of start-ups and other institutes researching sensor-based technology and automation options.
