Ride Dynamics – Ride Safety – Driver's Place
Abstract:
A wide range of approaches are being discussed to improve vehicle dynamics and driving safety. In particular, conventional topics such as tractive performance and soil compaction, but also driving stability and ride comfort are targets of optimization. By means of refined models, multi domain simulations and by the use of modern approaches such as artificial neural networks and machine learning, niche areas are addressed and design decisions are supported in early stages of product development processes. Other research approaches include assistance for machine operators through increasingly intelligent driver assistance systems with the purpose to address complex work tasks and to improve the user experience. But also fundamentally altered fields of operation and concepts for the interaction and collaboration of humans with highly automated and autonomous machine systems are part of current research.
