Crop Harvesting
Crop Harvesting
Abstract:
2019 revealed many remarkable developments in crop harvesting. The agricultural machinery manufacturers used the Agritechnica to present their innovations. The good sales figures of the past years made many new developments possible. Numerous farmers in Germany experienced the second difficult year in succession due to the weather conditions. The stressed situation due to increased regulations led to uncertainty and to protests of frustrated farmers.
In the forage harvester sector, manufacturers are adapting their machines for use with grass silage. The increased engine power over the years could not be efficiently utilized here. There is a clear trend towards increasing the throughput of round balers. On square balers, operator comfort is increased by eliminating the characteristic oscillation caused by the piston. New pick-ups are available for forage harvesters and loader wagons.
