Potato Technology
Abstract:
In the period under review, the extreme summer heat of 2018 and 2019 with a resulting reduction in yields in most of Europe's growing regions attracted particular attention. In the context of climate change, new technical procedures to stabilize and promote yields are therefore being discussed. A further aspect is the changed framework for preparation of harvest by use of chemical and mechanical haulm regulation. The much discussed digitization and networking of agriculture accompanies numerous technical developments for potato cultivation, of which selected examples are presented in the following article.
