DLG-Agrifuture Insights: Sensor technology and telemetry increasingly important fields of innovation for market crop producers
Abstract:
Expectations of business development in arable farming have deteriorated in 2019, as results from DLG-Agrifuture Insights show. Regionally, drought has reduced yields, and the large global grain crop has created price pressure. Nevertheless, arable farmers wanted to invest more than in the previous year. The fertilizer legislation and the lower availability of chemicals make adjustments in management necessary. Technology for more efficient fertilization, mechanical weed control and automatic steering technology are the center of interest in innovations.
