Tractors Agricultural Tractor Development

Abstract:

In 2019, sales of German tractor manufacturers increased again to 4.27 bn € (2018: 3.99 bn €). The German registrations recovered slightly after the considerable drop in 2018. The outstanding event in the reporting year was the world leading trade fair Agritechnica. Most manufacturers presented new or modified tractor series with EU emission stage V engines. For large tractors a further "pushing up" of the power ranges and a trend towards track laying ground drives can be observed. The digitalization drives the progressive automation at process and farm level and is increasingly used for driver support. Series tractors with power electronics in the drive train are still not available, but there are interesting approaches to using it for implement drives. Comfort and safety systems from the automotive industry are becoming increasingly popular with tractors
