Cultivation Technology
Tillage equipment
Abstract:
Sales in the field of tillage technology have again increased between 12 % and 19 % since 2017. Special challenges continue with discussing application technology and the objective of significant reduction of the use of chemical pesticides. This leads to an increased demand on flexibly applicable systems in harvesting and crop management. Large manufacturers are reacting with developments in the field of plough technology, but in particular with new configuration and tool solutions for cultivators and cultivator disc combinations. Small manufacturers serve niches with special requirements providing new developments (cultivators, active rotors, harrow systems) in the field of organic farming and specialty crops. Prototypes of autonomous machine systems and robotic solutions are increasingly introduced in the field of tillage and single plant care in the last decade.
