Cultivation Technology Tillage equipment

Abstract:

Increasing weather extremes with dry periods and more frequent heavy rainfall events will change the requirements for farming strategies. Erosion and evaporation protection, binding of CO2 in the soil and improving of the soil's infiltration storage and drainage capacity are becoming increasingly important. Shallow, water-saving tillage, but also situative, location-based and data-supported tillage are still trending. The discussion about the desired reduction of chemical weed control products and weed resistances has led to a growing demand in mechanical weed control equipment. The growing range of machines and new solutions for intelligent process monitoring result in increasing importance of highly automated machine systems.
